by Our travels recently brought us to Modern Margarita, located at 1 E. Boston St. in the downtown Chandler area.
Modern Margarita is a hip and modern sports bar that offers a large selection of award winning margaritas, gourmet street tacos, salads, burgers and a wide range of drinks from reasonably priced to the very high end. Modern Margarita is a very reasonably priced locale.
The happy hour menu is even more so reasonably priced with prices ranging from $5-$8 for food and drinks. Happy Hour is Monday–Friday from 3:00-6:30pm and all day on Sundays.
We enjoyed the homemade chips and dip as an appetizer. The chips were very light and airy and were a perfect combination with the house salsa which was spicy but addictive. We also tried a fresh order of pico de gallo which was also another perfect combination with the chips. Both the salsa and pico de gallo were so good, it’s hard to pick which was our favorite. As an entrée, we order the wings with ranch dressing. The wings were well cooked and tasted as good as they looked.
We noticed there is also a taco flight on the menu which comes with 15 tacos in a variety of flavors. 3 each of chicken, pork, fried fish, carne asada & veggie for $60. The party sitting just across from us ordered the taco flight and the presentation was nothing short of amazing!
Modern Margarita opened the Chandler location in August of 2016. We’ve passed by this sports bar many times in our travels but it didn’t really stand out among the other restaurants in the area until recently. Our overall experience was good. The food and drinks were good and we will definitely visit again to maybe give the tacos a try next time.
