Caffé Boa
After moving to the Ahwatukee area a few months ago. I noticed this small unassuming fenced in patio vaguely covered by a series of plants with enchanting outdoor landscape light fixtures.
During my evening walks I would often pass by Caffé Boa saying to myself, this would be a great place for a date. Unfortunately, two weeks later COVID-19 arrived and dinning with a date at this cozy spot was a distant memory.
Currently the second opening of Arizona restaurants and bars has taken place. We at Arizonagenda was fortunate to visit Caffé Boa and it was a delight. We enjoyed the romantic ambiance that Caffé Boa offered. Dim lighting along with jazz music playing in the background. A perfect environment for an intimate date.
We were very pleased with our Julius and House salads. Once we received our salad dishes, we were surprised of the large proportioned salads, let’s just say we will be eating salad for lunch the next day.
Julius Salad
Hearts of romaine, seasoned croutons, lemon, grated parmesan, cracked pepper & Kosher salt with a house made original dressing.
House Salad
Mixed greens, shredded mozzarella, croutons, celery, carrot, & tomato with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
Aside from the noodles slightly undercooked (chewy). We really enjoyed our pasta dishes. An abundance of tasty wonderful flavors, with creamy sauces and succulent chicken or braised beef.
Chianti Braised Beef Rigatoni
Tender Beef slowly braised in wine & Spices over rigatoni pasta.
Voodoo Penne
Penne rigate pasta tossed with blackened sliced chicken, red onion, bell peppers, tomato, & a roasted garlic cream (Spicy upon request)
After dinner, we took a small tour of Caffé Boa’s patio area. The patio that I often gazed at during my long walks. Unbeknownst to us, their patio area is larger than we imagined with a built in fireplace.
We will definitely visit this cozy cafe again during the fall months. We look forward to those cool fall evenings dining on the patio and enjoying delicious Italian dishes.
