Ralph Michael Brekan’s latest experimental film, Decentered, a psychological thriller premieres in Phoenix this October 26th at the Arizona Filmmaker Showcase at Film Bar downtown Phoenix. This highly anticipated 27-minute art film addresses hot bottom issues of national security and invasion of privacy. The thrilling narrative is presented through the eyes of a former combat veteran, who unwittingly could foil the government’s plot.
This film stars Hollywood actor Phoenix Conrad, along with Norma Allie Perez, Scot Shamblin, and Travis Dixon. Conrad has appeared in the background of several prominent television shows including, American Horror Story, NCIS, and Code Black. Shot on location primarily in Pasadena, California with some pick-ups and inserts, shot around the Phoenix area. Originally created as a short film to prove the idea as a concept for a television series, Decentered presents itself as a standalone work of art.
Decentered was co-written by Brian Paul and Ralph Michael Brekan wears multiple hats on this projects including producer and director. Brekan, an internationally exhibited fine artist based in Arizona, has made a career in motion pictures. His previous film work includes several shorts and the 2012 experimental feature, Lighthouse Lane, which won seven awards, including best experimental feature at the LA Movie awards.
Decentered will be screened at Film Bar Phoenix on Sunday, October 26 at 6:00pm, followed by a brief Q&A session with Director/Producer Ralph Michael Brekan. This special screening allows Phoenix area filmgoers and art patrons to be able to see Brekan’s creation in person on the big screen and learn more about his creative process.
